NPD Stops Vehicle on Temple Ave. Around 3:30 AM an Officer with the Newnan Police Department performed a traffic stop on a Grey Chevy Silverado on Temple Avenue and Bonnell Street.After checking the vehicle and driver's status,  a second Officer that was in the area came to the stop. NPD Investigating Body Found Under Rail Road Bridge on Jefferson Street.

911 Call Leads to Discovery Around 4:30 this afternoon Coweta County 911 received a call in regards to a possible deceased person. The caller stated that the individual was located under the railroad bridge on Jefferson Street  The Newnan Police Department quickly responded to the scene and located the body of an elderly white male. NPD Investigators are on the scene as well as the corner.The area that the body was located in is known to be frequented by homeless citizens. No further information is available at this time.
