Concerned Citizen Calls 911 Monday, May 9th, 911 received a call from a customer at the Shell Gas Station located at 2235 E Hwy 34 that there was a black male in a white 90's model Ford Ranger near the gas pumps that was passed out behind the steering wheel. Suspect Sped by Deputy on the Interstate Shortly before 10:30PM last night a Deputy running radar on the interstate was passed north of the 53 MM by an orange car going in excess of 100 MPH.The Deputy activated his lights and attempted to stop the car, which sped up and continued to speed south on the interstate, weaving in traffic.The vehicle was described as an orange Nissan or Infinity with West Virginia tags.By the time they were reaching Exit 47, their speed was 150 MPH. PRESS RELEASEFOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: 5-11-22SHOOTINGShortly after midnight, on 5-11-22, Coweta E-911 received a call in reference to a welfare check at America’s Best Value Inn.. When Deputies arrived, they located a female in a room with what appeared to be multiple gunshot wounds. Deputies cleared the scene, and EMS personnel stabilized the patient and airlifted her to an Atlanta area hospital where her condition remains unknown. The suspect was located in the immediate area. We were able to find in public records, and confirm, that Washington has an active warrant out of El Paso, Texas for an August 2019 arrest for Criminal Trespass. It is a non-extradition warrant, meaning the issuing authority would not pick up the suspect if he's arrested outside of their jurisdiction.
