Underage beer bandits arrested after theft from Collinsworth Rd Shell
The two females and one male didn't go far
Around 2 PM on February 18th E911 received a call from an employee of the Shell Gas Station at 1046 Collinsworth Rd. The employee stated that at least 2 teenagers had come into the store, grabbed 6 packs of beer and run out of the store. They then got into a black Hyundai and took a turn onto Collinsworth Rd headed towards the interstate.
Deputies with the Coweta County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene where the suspects had already left. The business was able to provide deputies with access to their security cameras showing the crime and the getaway.
Roughly an hour after the initial crime was committed, deputies, working on tips, were able to locate the suspect vehicle at a mobile home in the area of Tingle Lane and Dave Dr. The area is less than a mile from the Shell they’d stolen from. Upon investigating, deputies arrested people in reference to the theft.
The following two females were booked into the Coweta County Jail on a single count of Theft by Shoplifting, a misdemeanor.
Skyla Ryelle Marie Punt, 18 of Palmetto
Kaci Jannine Hamby, 18, of Sharpsburg
Hamby was given a bond in the amount of $1,150 while Punt was given a bond, with conditions, of $500.
Also arrested and charged with a single count of Party to a Crime, a misdemeanor, was Giovanni A Triplicata, 17, of Newnan. He was given a bond of $1000.
Hamby shows no prior adult bookings, while both Punt and Triplicata have previous bookings, both for shoplifting.
Punt was booked by the Newnan Police Department on December 27th, 2022 and Triplicata was booked by the Newnan Police Department on January 10th of this year, both were charged with a single misdemeanor count of Theft by Shoplifting.
All 3 suspects have since bonded out of the Coweta County Jail.
