CCSO Investigating Body Found Outside Coweta Central Library as Suicide

From the Editor: NCST normally doesn’t report on suicides. However, in certain instances, particularly those that occur in a public setting, providing the community with certain information is warranted. It’s with this in mind the following information is provided.
Just after 5 PM this afternoon, March 24th, bystanders reported a body located in the parking lot of the Coweta County Central Library off Literary Lane to members of the Coweta County Fire Department Station 12 which is located a short distance from the scene.
CCFD Members reported this to dispatch and requested that CCSO Deputies be dispatched to the scene.
Upon arriving on scene CCFD members requested Deputies respond emergency. When deputies arrived, they confirmed the male was deceased of what appeared to be a suicide and requested the coroner and Investigators respond to the location.
To our knowledge, nothing has been found to refute their initial findings. The investigation remains active and we would expect the CCSO to make a statement if anything criminal was found.
We will update this story further if it is warranted.
