Home NewsFire & EMS Pedestrian killed after being hit on Bullsboro overnight

Just after 9PM last night, March 28th, E911 received calls stating that a pedestrian had been hit by a vehicle in the westbound lanes of the 500 block of Bullsboro Dr. – in front of Red Carpet and Joella’s Chicken.

Units were immediately dispatched with the first LEO unit arriving within minutes of the dispatch.

Arriving units found a female that appeared to be in her 60’s suffering trauma from being impacted by a vehicle. EMS quickly attempted to stabilize the  victim, calling for Life Flight to respond. A landing zone was established and life flight did eventually land in the Walmart parking lot.

Sadly, the victim wasn’t able to be stabilized and passed from her injuries prior to being able to meet the life flight.

It is unclear at the moment if the victim was walking along the road, or attempting to cross the road when the accident occurred. Like all fatality accidents, the accident was investigated by the Georgia State Patrol.

The driver stopped at the scene of the accident and from our understanding was cooperative in the investigation.

As of right now, details are thin as we wait for a preliminary report from GSP, however booking reports don’t show any bookings in relation to the incident at the time of writing this article.

This marks the second fatal accident involving a pedestrian in Coweta County in less than 48 hours.
