Overnight wreck adds another tragedy to unsettling string of fatality accidents
Overnight accident on Marion Beavers Rd leads to fatality
We’re waiting for more details, but we can confirm that CCSO units responded to an accident reported via a crash detection from an Apple iPhone last night just before Midnight. The accident occurred in the 500 block of Marion Beavers Road and appears to be a single vehicle accident in which the single occupant was pronounced deceased on the scene.
We’ve reached out for more information regarding the crash and the victim and will update with more information when available.
UPDATE
Authorities have identified the victim of Friday’s night fatality accident as 21 year old Emma Oates of Peachtree City. Oates was the only occupant in the 1995 Toyota Camry which was found to have gone off the roadway where it had struck a ditch and several trees.
Details are still not available for what may have caused Oates to lose control of her vehicle.
